Short version
I collect what’s needed to make and ship your order, and nothing else. No tracking cookies, no ad pixels, no selling your data, and no cookie banner, because there’s nothing to consent to.
What’s collected, and why
- When you order: checkout is run by Shopify. Shopify collects your name, email, shipping address and payment details to process the order. Card details go to Shopify’s payment processor; I never see your full card number. I get the order details (name, address, email, what you ordered and your personalization text) so I can make and ship it. Shopify’s checkout pages may use their own cookies to run checkout securely; Shopify’s privacy policy covers those.
- When you email me: I keep the email and anything you attach (like logo files) to work on your order or answer your question. Email is hosted by Proton.
- When you browse: the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages load slowly. It’s aggregate, doesn’t use cookies, and doesn’t follow you to other sites. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (like IP addresses) to deliver pages and block abuse.
- On your device: the site saves two things in your browser’s local storage: your light/dark theme choice and your cart ID, so your cart is still there when you come back. The cart ID is sent to Shopify to load your cart; the theme choice never leaves your device. Clearing your browser data removes both.
Ads
I may advertise Zedfec on other sites and apps (like Instagram or Google). Those platforms decide who sees ads using their own data, under their own privacy policies. This site doesn’t run their tracking pixels and doesn’t share your information with them.
Ad links may include a tag in the web address (like ?utm_source=instagram) so I can tell which ads bring people here. That tag describes the ad you clicked, not you.
What I don’t do
- Sell or rent your information.
- Put advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this site.
- Add you to a mailing list. There isn’t one right now. If I start one, it will be opt-in only, and this page will say so first.
How long it’s kept
- Order and tax records: kept as long as tax law requires. Michigan sales tax records must be kept 4 years, and federal tax records can need up to 7 years in some cases, so plan on 4–7 years.
- Emails about orders: kept while they’re useful, then deleted.
Your choices
Email zack@zedfec.com to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you. Records required for taxes can’t be deleted early, but everything else can.
Changes
If this changes, I’ll update this page and the date at the top. If I ever add something that tracks you (like an ad pixel), it’ll be listed here first, along with how to opt out.
